Legendary Urdu Poet Bashir Badr Passes Away at 91 After Long Illness

Renowned Urdu poet Bashir Badr passed away at age 91 in Bhopal following a prolonged illness. Known for his emotionally rich yet accessible poetry, he won the Padma Shri in 1999. Born in Ayodhya, he taught Urdu at Meerut College. Despite losing his library during the 1987 Meerut violence, he rebuilt his literary career in Bhopal.
