Haridwar Records 7,000 Tonnes of Waste After 4.8 Crore Kanwariyas Pilgrimage

During the recent Kanwar Yatra pilgrimage, Haridwar faced a massive waste problem. Approximately seven thousand tonnes of garbage were collected from the riverbanks. This waste included a vast amount of plastic materials and clothing. Additionally, many bottles filled with urine were found among the debris. Local authorities worked hard to clean the area and manage this heavy environmental burden.
