Cattle Smuggler Zahid Injured, Arrested in Bareilly Encounter

Police in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, conducted an anti-cattle smuggling operation late Monday night. During the encounter, accused smuggler Zahid was shot in the leg and arrested after retaliatory firing. A police constable was also injured. Zahid faces prior smuggling charges, while his associate Azeem escaped. Police recovered a motorcycle and are searching for Azeem.
