Hyderabad: Brothers Die in Lake Tragedy

Two brothers died after reportedly drowning in Kowkur Lake near Hyderabad on May 11. The incident occurred in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district under the jurisdiction of the Jawahar Nagar police station. Local residents alerted authorities upon discovering two bodies floating in the lake. Police responded promptly and recovered the victims from the water. Preliminary investigations suggest the brothers drowned while swimming. The deceased were identified as Krishna (35) and Mohan (38). Their bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered as investigations continue.

In a separate case, a 17-year-old boy from Nanajipur village in Sangareddy district was found dead in a stream in Shamshabad on May 10. The victim, Byagari Sricharan, was a student residing in Edhulanagulapally village in RC Puram mandal. He had gone missing on May 9. Police retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem at Osmania General Hospital. Further details regarding the circumstances of his death remain under investigation.
