Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Granted 30-Day Parole, 16th Release Since 2017

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh received a 30-day parole from Sunaria Jail in Haryana, marking his 16th temporary release since 2017. The self-styled godman was convicted for raping two female disciples inside his Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters. He will stay at the Dera during parole. His repeated releases have sparked criticism from journalists and opposition leaders.
