Jamshedpur Assault: Youth Battles for Life After Brutal Steel Rod Attack
On Sunday afternoon around 3 PM in Bhalubasa, Sitamaridera police station area in Jamshedpur, Mohammad Mumtaz, also known as Ashik, a resident of a poor colony on Old Purulia Road in Mango, was attacked from behind with a steel rod. The attack caused serious head injuries, and his condition is reported to be extremely critical. Mumtaz, a welder by profession, was working at his workplace when a youth suddenly struck him with a steel rod from behind, causing him to fall with severe injuries.
After witnessing the incident, other workers rushed him to TMH Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU. Doctors have stated that due to severe head injuries, his condition remains critical. However, initial investigations have not yet revealed the identity of the attacker or the motive behind the assault. Meanwhile, Mumtaz's brother, Mohammad Faiyaz, stated that his brother had no enmity with anyone, leaving the family completely shocked by the incident.
Faiyaz expressed confusion over who could have committed this act and why. The police have been informed about the case, and an investigation into the entire matter has been initiated. Authorities are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding this brutal attack on the young welder, whose life hangs in the balance as he fights for survival in the hospital's intensive care unit.
