NEET Leak: CBI Investigates Students, Relatives in Rajasthan
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing a major NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, with Rajasthan's coaching hub Sikar emerging as the alleged nerve center of the network. Investigators believe the coordination began in Sikar, where accused Yash Yadav and Vikas studied together at a coaching institute. The CBI has arrested four key accused from Jaipur: Mangilal Biwal, Dinesh Biwal, Yash Yadav, and Vikas. All four were produced before a magistrate and shifted to Delhi for further interrogation.
The investigation has widened to include family members of the accused who recently cleared NEET and secured admissions in various medical colleges. Sources said Sonia, niece of accused Dinesh Biwal, is studying at a medical college in Mumbai, while another niece Palak is under scrutiny. Investigators are also examining Prakriti, daughter of Mangilal Biwal, and Vikas, who was allotted a medical college seat. The agency is probing whether these admissions were influenced through leaked examination material.
According to investigators, the leaked paper allegedly originated from Dhananjay in Maharashtra, then passed to Shubham Khairnar from Nashik, who shared it with Yash Yadav in Haryana. From there, the material reached Mangilal and Dinesh Biwal in Rajasthan. Dinesh Biwal's son Rishi remains absconding. The CBI is continuing intense questioning of accused Rakesh Mandwariya and Prajapat. A CBI team has camped in Sikar, examining people linked to the network.
Sources indicate key accused were informed around Diwali that the NEET paper would be available, showing the leak network was activated months before the examination. Several students and parents earlier detained by the Rajasthan SOG have been questioned. Officials believe Delhi interrogations could expose influential individuals linked to the network. The developments have raised serious concerns over the security of India's largest medical entrance examination and the possibility of organized interstate networks operating behind paper leaks.
