Cyber fraud incidents jump threefold in four years, Telangana leads in case count

Cyber fraud cases in India rose from 10,395 in 2020 to 29,758 by 2024. Online banking fraud was the most common type. Telangana had the highest number of cases reported. The government uses the I4C and the NCRP to fight these crimes. These efforts helped save over eleven thousand crore rupees from various fraudulent complaints reported to the ministry.
