PUCL Gujarat condemned an alleged attack on a book‑reading event at AUDA Garden in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad, where 45–50 men assaulted 50 students and citizens on August 27. Four were hospitalized, two women injured. People’s Union Civil Liberties says Bajrang Dal VHP mob used slogans, threatened women, demanded religious checks.
