Assam Lynching: Two Muslim Men Killed Over Alleged Cattle Theft, No Arrests Made

Two Muslim men were killed by a mob in Assam's Sonitpur district near the Arunachal Pradesh border early Friday in an alleged lynching. Another person was injured in the attack. The incident occurred in the remote Bhalukpong area when a group allegedly attempted to steal three cows around 3:30 am. Villagers chased and assaulted them, causing the deaths. Police recovered the cows and the vehicle used. No arrests have been made.
