Dalit Man Accused of Caste Slurs, Locked in Kali Temple During Prayer Incident
Police in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district have booked two men for allegedly assaulting a Dalit man over his stays at a Kali temple and offering prayers there. The accused were charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Atrocities Act following a complaint by the victim.
