Dalit Student 'Tortured to Death' Over Friendship with Upper-Caste Girl in Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, India, an 18-year-old Dalit student, Ketan Lal, died after being assaulted by a girl's upper-caste family due to their friendship. Ketan and his friend Diwakar were allegedly tortured for hours, with nails hammered into Ketan's legs. The girl's family had previously objected to their friendship.
