Government schoolteacher Naushad Ahmad was shot dead outside his school in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The accused, Gaurav Rathi, surrendered at a police station with two pistols. Naushad was taken to AIIMS Rishikesh but died during treatment. Police are investigating possible motives, including property disputes and claims of "love jihad".
