Bombay HC Stops BMC Demolition Following BJP Leader's 'School Jihad' Remark

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation began demolishing Tehzeeb Islamic English School in Mumbai after BJP leader Kirit Somaiya labeled it school jihad. The school serves many students from poor families. However, the Bombay High Court later granted temporary protection to the institution. This court order prevents the civic body from carrying out any further demolition until the next hearing.
