JAMSHEDPUR: Tata Steel's Anti-Encroachment Drive: Quarter Evicted Amid Protests, Traffic ASI Accused of Illegal Occupation
Tata Steel's team vacated quarter L5-55 on Kadma Tower Road amid protests. The company accused traffic ASI Amresh Kumar Singh of illegal occupation for two and a half years. Officials stated the quarter was already declared vacant with utilities disconnected. Despite this, the occupant allegedly broke the lock and used stolen electricity and water, causing financial loss. The company claimed multiple verbal and written notices were ignored. During the evacuation, both sides had heated arguments. The police officer denied all allegations and refused to vacate. Local police arrived to control the situation. Tata Steel UISL reported the matter to the police and is pursuing legal action.
