Modi Condemns Karnataka Congress, Celebrates BJP's National Wins

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress government in Karnataka during a rally at Bengaluru’s HAL Airport on May 10. He accused the state administration of prioritizing internal conflicts over governance, calling it a symbol of political instability. Modi highlighted uncertainty around the Chief Minister’s position and claimed Congress lacks a clear governance strategy, with failed public promises.

Modi linked BJP’s recent wins in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry to a national demand for stability and development. He noted BJP’s rise from marginal presence in West Bengal to power in over 20 states reflects a “new political wave.” He emphasized “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” as BJP’s trusted model, contrasting it with Congress’s struggles to secure consecutive mandates.

He accused Congress of being directionless, blaming institutions for electoral losses while facing internal disputes in states like Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana. Modi criticized Congress on women’s reservation, alleging obstruction of reforms for greater representation. He praised Bengaluru as India’s growth engine, lauding its digital economy, innovation, and research sectors.

Modi stressed balancing scientific progress with spiritual strength for true development. He thanked BJP workers for election efforts, focusing on national development. The rally ended with “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” chants from supporters outside the airport.
