NCERT Updates Class 8 Textbook: Congress' Partition Stance Altered, Savarkar Included, Hitler References Removed

The NCERT has revised its Class 8 Social Science textbook, removing controversial judiciary content and altering history sections. Partition is now described as widely opposed by Congress, and Savarkar's demand for Swaraj is highlighted. Bose's association with Hitler is omitted. The textbook also broadens its definition of discrimination. All new textbooks for Classes 1 to 8 are now available, with Classes 9 and 10 textbooks pending release.
