Gujarat HC Orders Rehabilitation for Families Displaced in Illegal Surat Demolition

The Gujarat High Court ordered the Surat Municipal Corporation to rehabilitate over 100 families displaced by an "unauthorized" demolition in Nasir Nagar, Surat. The Court deemed the demolition illegal and directed the Corporation and the Gujarat government to submit rehabilitation plans and accountability reports by July 9.
