RSS Organizes 'Matri Shakti Pradhan Jaan Goshthi' in Ranchi, Emphasizing Role of Women and Family Values
A seminar titled "Matri Shakti Pradhan Jaan Goshthi" was organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the Chinmaya Mission campus in Ranchi. The event was chaired by Swami Purnanand Ji, who emphasized the vital role of mothers and homemakers in strengthening families, society, and the nation. He highlighted that in today's time, families face numerous challenges, and it is essential for women to be aware and empowered to build strong households.
Swami Purnanand stressed the importance of protecting children from mobile addiction and instilling in them values of character, service, and sacrifice. He noted that great leaders emerge from ordinary people and that saints and sages in the Sanatan tradition have continuously awakened society through their wisdom and words. He also emphasized the need for girls' education and fostering a spirit of service in society, stating that families survive through sacrifice and dedication.
Expressing concern over the rising trend of divorce in Hindu society, he underscored the necessity of preserving the Indian family system and its values. The chief speaker at the event, Gopal Ji, the Jharkhand Pracharak of the RSS, spoke about the organization's founding in 1925 and its completion of 100 years in 2025. He shed light on the life and resolutions of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, describing his life as an inspiring example of patriotism, organizational strength, and social awakening.
Gopal Ji explained that Dr. Hedgewar viewed caste, language, regional, and class divisions as weaknesses of the nation. He believed that until Hindu society becomes organized and aware, India cannot regain its status as a world leader. With this vision, the RSS was established to build the nation through individual development. He also questioned why India, despite its rich traditions, knowledge, and culture, faced degradation, attributing it partly to the distrust created by Macaulay's education system.
He highlighted that Indian culture sees the divine in every being and that despite external influences, the culture has been preserved due to the saintly community and family systems. He elaborated on the "Panch Parivartan" (Five Transformations) initiative being run by the RSS. The seminar was attended by a large number of women leaders, social workers, and RSS officials, including Dr. Ranjana Kumar, Vice President of Vikas Bharati, Dr. Saroj Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University, and several other notable figures.
