Shrine Demolished in Sambhal's Large-Scale Anti-Encroachment Operation

An illegal shrine at Sambhal's Sher Ali Baba Peer site was razed Saturday amid an anti-encroachment drive. Authorities cleared about 70–80 bighas of government lake land also seized illegally for farming. Authorities noted farmers left without resistance. The process was filmed under heavy police presence. Officials said legal procedures were followed before demolition. Authorities added that clearing lake encroachment in this way will help restore natural resources.
