Jharkhand: Pickup Van Carrying Children Overturns in Latehar, Dozens Injured

A road accident occurred on Monday in the Barwadiha police station area of Latehar district. After school holidays, a pickup van carrying children from St. Claret Ledgai School overturned on the roadside while attempting to overtake another vehicle. As a result, the accident happened. In this incident, half a dozen children were injured. The injured are being treated at a local nursing home. Two children were sent to Medininagar hospital for better treatment.

After the accident, the vehicle driver fled the scene. After receiving information, the police reached the accident site and took the vehicle into custody and brought it to the police station. The police are investigating the causes of the accident. Regarding the incident, it is reported that after the holidays of St. Claret Ledgai School, the pickup van left to drop the children at their homes. During this time, while overtaking, the pickup van lost control and overturned. As a result, half a dozen children were injured.
